Consider the reaction scheme shown below

                                $A\rightarrow^{k_1} B \rightarrow ^{k_2}C$

Both the reactions are first-order. The activation energies for k${_1}$ and k${_2}$ are 80 and 20 kJ/mol, respectively. To maximize the yield of B, it is preferable to use

  1. CSTR and high temperature
  2. PFR and high temperatura
  3. CSTR and low temperature
  4. PFR and low temperature
